Paris, day three

I must admit that the marathon of sightseeing is wearing me down. I wasn't nearly as productive today as the past two. I started out with a late breakfast, then I wandered through an open market behind my hotel. Then on to the Centre Pompidou, which is the modern art museum. I saw some great art there...some f'in weird stuff too:) I tested my fear of heights by going onto the balcony on the 5th level to take some pictures of the city. It freaked me out because it was windy and there was only a 3/4 railing.

Then I decided not to do the rest of what I had planned because I was a bit tired of museums. So I took the Metro over to the 8th arrondisement and took a Bateau-Mouche Seine River tour. That was pretty cool...a different perspective of the city, though the boat was moving along at too great a clip for many good pictures. Got some good ones of the Tour Eiffel. I decided not to scale it today...was tired and not willing to battle my heights threshold after le Centre Pompidou.

Then I wandered back along the Seine...once you're on the lower walkway, you don't even hear the traffic anymore. It was very peaceful...of course, there were a lot of couples making out down there. It made me feel kind of lonely.

Now I'm at my favorite Internet cafe, then I'll go to my last dinner in Paris.

It has been a great trip...I have packed a lot into 3 days. Paris is beautiful, and I highly recommend it.

My flight tomorrow is DL51, departing CDG at 1:20pm local time and arriving ATL at 5:15pm EST. I will try to leave my hotel aound 9am to get to CDG and allow for any issues.

Mom, wanna meet me at DL arrivals at 6:15pm? That should give me enough time to get through customs.

Can't wait to sleep in my own bed....also I have been petting every dog and cat in sight....guess that should tell me something!
