Move update!

I"ve been a busy bee over the past few weeks:

I'm 95% packed
I'm the proud owner of a shin-length, 700 fill, down coat and snowboots
Dottie is the proud owner of a fleece pullover and boots
Arranged for U-Haul, car dolly, and load/unload on both ends
Looked for apartments and scheduled appointments with a short list
Arranged flight, hotel and car for housing visit
Bought lottsssss of sweaters and layering clothes
Obsessed about the weather daily

So I leave to go on my housing visit tomorrow morning. I am going out to a few properties with a leasing agent tomorrow afternoon, then I have a few appointments at some individual places on Thursday and Friday. A friend is coincidentally in town at the same time, so I'm hanging out with him Wednesday night, then a new co-worker is giving me a tour of Minnie on Thursday.

I'm really hoping to wrap everything up, as far as housing goes, this week, so I can start doing the rest of my moving chores, like changing my address with everyone, forwarding with the post office, getting renter's and car insurance, etc. It's a lot to do, even though I get off light by already having the majority of my household stuff still in storage from my old house.
